Shining Sun
By Cheesethief

Of all the seasons,
Spring's the one
That never fails:
Its shining Sun
The cold withdraws
With grace and ease
That would even the Summer please
And though the glist'ning snow has gone
The young ones may still have their fun
Rollicking in
The shining Sun

Third Place (TIE)

Listen to the birds,
Spring is here.
Eat an apple grab a pear,
Let your voice be heard!

Spring, spring, spring, spring
isn't it a funny thing:
Dibbuns who all dance and shout,
Elders who hop and jump about.

Funny otters,
silly mice,
Spring is the greatest price
After cold winter's gone.

Spring, spring, spring, spring
isn't it a funny thing:
Dibbuns who all dance and shout
Elders who hop and jump about.

Spring Song
By Badrang3

It was 2:00 on the 6th of May
We all thought winter had gone away
But it would appear that we were all mislead

Cause a big white cloud came sauntering by
And decided things were too hot and dry
And that there should be 10 feet of snow instead

Well the big white flakes came falling down
Till everything was white as a wedding gown
And everyone was crying out, ³Oh Dear!²

But something came that was unforeseen
And burned our eyes with its wonderful sheen
And it cried, ³What the heck is going on here?!²

The Snow Cloud said, ³ Itıs winter now,
Iıve taken this month, and thatıs my vow
So go push off, and donıt you spoil my fun.²

And the sheen said, ³You just shut your trap.²
And gave the cloud a hefty smack
³You donıt order me Œround, Iım the SUN!²

Well, the cloud was really full of itself
Thought, ³Iım going to seriously harm his health.²
And tried to give the sun a sucker punch

His fist connected, and he gave a shout
It was on fire, without a doubt
And the sun punched him back, with a sickening crunch

The sun laid a beating to the cloud
Much to the amusement of the crowd
And the sun finally kicked away that ugly thing

And the sun said, ³Right, now Iım in charge,
The winter seasons far too large
Letıs shorten it, and call this new season Spring!²

Well, the name caught on exceptionally fast
No one was sad to see winter didnıt last
And the new season was warmer any way

Things were greener and brighter too
Making everything much more pleasant to view
Itıs now much better weather on the 6th of May
